"Fallen Angel" by Gastohn Barrios

In this article we would like to introduce you to Buenos Aires born Photographer Gastohn Barrios.
After finishing High School, Gastohn moved to the USA where he found opportunities to work as a Model while pursuing his dream of acting and singing.
Having travelled and lived in different countries such as Spain, Chile and Brazil, it was in the latter that Gastohn took to the camera in 2006.
By the end of 2008, he moved back to his home town Buenos Aires where he now lives and works as a Photographer, energized by his Brazilian influence.
Exploring almost every kind of artistic expression, he says “Art is the expression that is born in your soul”.
Gastohn “captures beauty, sensuality and harmony without prejudice or shame”, inspired by Ancient Greek Art.
His convention in life is to treat others as he would like to be treated and with the knowledge and experience from both sides of the lens, he is able to mentor and inspire up and coming Models.
He believes that in any artistic field you must be authentic and true to yourself, find your own voice, “be faithful to your heart and let it speak.

We are proud to showcase a selection of his images, including one of his favourite photographs “Fallen Angel”.
Gastohn has a particular fondness for this image, not only because of its meaning (struggle, discrimination, dreams and reality – purity of all human beings…)
It was also part of an exhibition at the Leslie-Lohman Museum in New York where it won a LGBT Photography Contest of Next Magazine.
